At Alpha, our passion is working hand-in-hand with local churches to address the needs within their communities, starting foremost with families. Recognizing the pivotal role of family dynamics in community well-being, we offer a variety of courses that provide practical support for family relationships. 

A total of 859 Marriage and Parenting courses were run throughout the year, with a grand total of 6,013 participants.

Marriage &

Pre-Marriage

COURSES

The Marriage Course and the Pre-Marriage Course act as a bridge between the Church and the local community by recognising the need to go beyond the social, as well as physical, walls of the church to help couples with their relationships. In 2023, 411 Marriage Courses were run with 2,877 participants, and 339 Pre-Marriage Courses were run, with 2,373 participants.

Nicky & Sila Lee 

TOUR

Alpha Australia also partnered with Nicky and Sila Lee in 2023 for 21 events to promote the Marriage and Pre-Marriage courses. Over two and a half weeks, Nicky and Sila went to Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney and partnered with various denominations including Baptists, Uniting, Church of Christ, Anglican and ACC churches to work together to facilitate these courses all over the country. Across all events, 3,212 people attended one of Nicky and Sila’s events, equipping local churches all across Australia to meet the needs in their local communities. 

Parenting
COURSES

The Parenting Children Course and Parenting Teenagers Course are for parents and caregivers looking for practical support to strengthen their family relationships. They’re for every type of parenting situation – parents, step-parents, prospective parents, etc. In Australia, 74 Parenting Courses were run in 2,023, with 518 participants. 35 Parenting Teenagers Courses were run in 2023, with 245 participants.
